Different options with our 2U Rack/Cabinet
What can you mount in our 2U Rack
Today I spent some time on one of our latest products: The 2U desktop Rack (6586). Just wanted to see how well our other products (rack mounts) combine with it.
First exercise: Fitting in a 1.5U NUC rack mount for 1-3 NUCs (6534), for the 'HIGH' series NUC and mounting the extra 0.5U blind (6603) for an esthetic look.
That fitted smoothly and looks nice! Don't you think?
Now let's see if we can use it for our Mac mini Rack Mount (6561)...
At the top (1U) the standard Mac mini Rack Mount wit 1 Mac mini and a blind plate (expandable with second Mac mini)
At the bottom (1U) the Mac mini Rack Mount with the optional 8-hole extension panel (6562) for 8 connectors in the front.
So you can mount 1, 2, 3 or 4 Mac minis in this 2U Desktop Rack
Last, let's combine Intel NUC and Mac mini...
Again at the bottom: the Mac mini Rack Mount with the optional 8-hole extension panel (6562) for 8 connectors in the front.
At the top now our 1U NUC rackmount (6559) for "LOW" Nucs.
Wrapping up... All fitted well and looks nice. Oh, I forgot to put in two of our 1U NUC rackmounts for 1-3 NUCs each. So you can mount six (low) NUCs in this 2U Desktop rack. But I guess you figured this out yourself already...
The 2U Desktop Rack comes completely mounted and a set of 8 Rack screws/rings/nuts is included, so all you have to do is fitting in your favorite equipment with MyElectronics Rack Mounts!
I have a NUC6CAYH model NUC. I also have two Raspberry Pi 4 (I am working on a PXE boot for the Pi). I see you sell a bracket for mounting a Pi in the 1U NUC mount. Will this work in your 1.5U rack for NUC? Also, I want to add a PoE HAT onto the top of my Pi. I assume as long as I have the 1.5U, there is plenty of room. Very nice products!
